This is no “big” Lebowski or Jackie Treehorn production, no theological porn like the fantastical self-validating spectaculars that made so many rich yesterday… not here, not with me and Jesus. Jesus could call an audible, but in that absence, we’ve had standing orders for millennia: the Word of God, in Spirit and Truth, in reality, walked out. That’s the plan, always has been, Jesus’ way. By his example, across all time and space, it maximizes the yield and minimizes the losses, but it is a grind. It is hard now, but it will be worth it forever. Love God and “other” people, keep it simple.
